Norton partners with Discovery Education to provide Cyber Safety tools worldwide

Through a $2.4 million investment, Norton has teamed up with Discovery Education to provide equitable access to Cyber Safety tools for students around the world. They will also launch a suite of free resources focused on digital citizenship for educators, students and families for the 2024 school year.

Gen partners with The Trevor Project to help LGBTQ+ young people stay Cyber Safe

The Trevor Project is the leading organization working to prevent suicide amongst LGBTQ+ young people, a group particularly vulnerable to cyberbullying. Gen will help bolster TrevorSpace, the online community that allows those who identify as LGBTQ+ and allies to make connections. We will also create online resources to improve Cyber Safety education and promote digital safe spaces.

Gen is a proud supporter of Save the Children in India

Gen backs the organization’s "Creating a Safe and Enabling Experience for Children Online" program which provides online safety education to Indian children in Thiruvallur, Tamil Nadu, and Pune, Maharashtra. We increased parents’ and teachers’ awareness of the risks of exposing children to the internet, with training sessions for teachers completed in 50 schools.

Norton extends collaboration with WAGGGS through Surf Smart 2.0

Norton continued its work with the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS) and expanded Surf Smart 2.0 through extra funding. The Surf Smart 2.0 badge program teaches girls and young women to learn, play and connect safely online. The money supports other initiatives including various online safety programs across Europe and the 2023 WAGGGS Academy event in Germany.

Norton and National PTA expands The Smart Talk to help families set healthy tech limits

In 2015, Norton and National PTA co-created The Smart Talk, a free, interactive resource that helps families set healthy tech limits together. In 2021, Norton committed $1 million to enhance the platform and in June 2022 it relaunched with essential updates to inclusivity, content and reach. Now, the platform is offered in Spanish, and has an improved UX which also caters for neurodiverse children and caregivers.
